Digital Service Act : DSA
The Digital Services Act (DSA) is a European regulation designed to oversee online platforms and ensure a safer, more transparent internet. It imposes strict obligations on content moderation, algorithmic transparency, user protection, and targeted advertising. Very large platforms must assess systemic risks related to disinformation and fundamental rights violations. Supervised by the European Commission and Arcom in France, the DSA enforces penalties of up to 6% of global turnover for non-compliance. This legislation strengthens digital sovereignty and holds tech giants accountable in the European market.
